paulo melim andersson got the boot from chloé as their creative director.. suprised or not? his latest fall collection was a bit disappointing for me (but not as disappointing as prada or miumiu!!), but he did bring something new, a bit different (..and a bit marni) to the house. i'm guessing the house wants something more phoebe philo, seeing that andersson's replacement hannah macgibbon was part of philo's design team. i still loved his debut collection though.. did you like andersson's collections for chloé or no?

I am surprised, I do not think the boot was necessary. I really enjoyed the collections--they were breezy girlie and I wanted them all. But there is more attention to detail in the newer collection, reminds me of more recent Chanel...

when phoebe was in charge, chloe was my favorite house of design, and when she left i was very upset. i cant wait to see what the new girl will do.

He did make the mistake of bringing too much Marni into the house of Chloe.... it was aesthetically great but perhaps not enough thinking about the brand was done...it's not right but that was his downfall me thinks...

NO WAY!!! His work hasn't really impressed me...though I haven't really paid attention to Chloe all that much lately. Perhaps that's why. Circular logic...

I loved some of Chloe's previous collctions but haven't liked the most recent collection. I now see why, I definately preferred Phoebe Philo. Thank you for your very lovely comment!

It did look a bit like Marni and I am guessing that was the mistake. Even though i wasn't utterly disappointed by his collection, I am kind of happy to see him go because i really liked Phoebe before him.

Me, I love it. Especially the strapless dress... Though orange is a bit diffcult to pull off, no?

I really like the sort of freshness he brought to the house, and I think some of the pieces from the ss08 collection are just beautiful. So I think it's a shame that he's gotten fired!

His designs didn't strike me as crazily beautiful, I wouldn't buy it.

i certainly love anderson's new chloe...but i still dream of the older chloe, the running-in-a-field/picnicking Chloe...!

I loved Chloe's fall collection. It was kind of different but I just thought the embroidery and eyelet with dreamy floral prints gave it something special.

im not surprised at all
his collections were crap to be honest in terms of a chloe viewpoint
and the accesoruies (which make up a huge part of profits for chloe) did not sell at all
his look was way too marni
im very excited to see what the new kid will do!

I thought his collections were cool- I prefer his Chloé girl than Phoebe's, actually. His is more quirky and edgy while Phoebe's more romantic and bohemian.

I think Andersson's collections were a bit anticlimatic after the hurrah of Philo. Hopefully, Chloé regains its footing soon.

I loved his work at Chloe, but I can see why they would get rid of him. A label like Chloe has a heritige which needs to be evident in it's designs, I don't think he incorporated any of the Chloe history into his designs. It was a bit too....rock and roll for Chloe
