hoodies.

i first noticed the hoodies on the runways from the Chanel spring07 show. i love how some of the designers have incorporated the hoodies into some of their looks, though i'm not sure if i would be daring enough to wear one myself. it's a trend that was around for the spring shows, but barely any were seen on the runways for the fall collections. even though it may not be one of the big trends going around right now, what do we think of this look? i love how it was worn by Hilary Rhoda at Jean Paul Gaultier, Du Juan with the long dress at Hermes and Freja with the lovely sheer nude dress at Karl Lagerfeld.

It's very daring to wear. But here hoodie is also the same like a vest. And everyone is wearing that, including me! I love the ones from Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld fall06 :)!

Yes, Dutch is my first language :D, but I like to write in English very much!

finally hoodies are coming back into style! i've been living in them for years and longing to flip up the hood but thought I might look pretty weird, but this is the perfect excuse! if only it wasn't so sunny...

Ummm, these just don't work for me at all, except for the Lagerfeld, which I could see being cute for a late night beach stroll.

We have polar opposite taste in shoes! because all the shoes you've named....I didn't care much for them! I love classic, minimal styles, anything black. My absolute fav is the Jil Sander. Mui mui really freaks me out, I don't think its wearable. I'm in the mist of transfering everything over to this blogger so it could take a while.

A far cry from the granny bashing, gold chainwearing, hoodied ASBO kids of Britain!

Love the look on the chanel catwalk, although, I really don't know where you would begin with translating it into real life!

But the Karl L looks are a lot more laidback and feminine, good for th beach.

i saw a picture of (gag) lindsay lohan wearing one. and i'll admit it was actually really cute. she had a black motorcycle jacket over a pink striped chanel hoody. seems like something they'll be copying come fall in mainstream stores.

Thankyou very much my dear! I am very pleased with how it turned out!
I don't take fashion classes, no, but I do textiles, which kinda teaches you how to follow a pattern. Once you've learnt that, it's not *too* hard to make your own patterns. :D
I plan on studying fashion though, once I've finished my A levels.

love hoodies, they tend to be quite practical in rainy ireland. love them esp when they're quite big and hang off your head like red riding hood's...erm hood.

gotta love a good hoodie - as usual I am fan of the Vivienne westwood piece. She does everything so well and with such ease. Pure genius!

I am surprised by how much I like the yellow Gaultier frock - lovely layering in that outfit.
