i'm usually a person who prefers black over other colors when it comes to clothing, shoes, etc. like most of you, i fell in love with the biker-chic leather jacket that's been going around on heavy rotation lately. black seems to be the popular color, but what do we think of them in brown? i personally love it and perhaphs i should ditch the black for once and go with the brown.

I have one in brown and I'm always getting compliments. I think black leather quite easily looks tacky and cheap, but with brown it looks
battered and chic.

I'm still for the black....I am afraid I would love the brown for a couple days and then feel like I was back in 7th grade again wearing my "bomber" jacket.

I love the both but I prefer the brown one .
I don't like the ones with knitted sleeves, don't know why actually! But I like the second one. A little bit nomad!
I hate black jackets in general, (with the exception of blazers) and leather ones? Ugh. Brown is so much softer, more versatile.. and well. .just more lovely.
i have leather jackets in black and brown and I wear them all the time... they are indispensable in my closet
at first, when i read brown, i thought of a really weird tanny colour. then as i scrolled down, i was seriously pleased. who knew a leather jacket could look that good in brown? and especially if it is well tailored? LOVE!

I love your blog header, so glitz and glam. And I too think I'm beginning to like the black leather jacket. The brown works too, but if I owned a brown leather jacket I would wear earthy tones and turquoise jewelery with it.
Brown looks less harsh than black, more on the- mhmmm, just woke up and it was chilly so I grabbed this uber cool jacket- 'cause I'm cool like that. Black has a more rebel without a cause look to it ( and tends to make you look a bit more like you're trying too hard).
All in all, brown (and you can wear it with navy blue!)
The brown is fantastic, I used to crave those tiny waist cropped black leather jackets worn everywhere by models, but could never find the exact one that was in my head so I pretty much abandoned searching. Now, I'm over the black and I do think the brown would infinitely look much better and could be worn in variety of ways.
But if you must achieve that rock n roll look, stick with the classic black.
i have one just like this in red, and it's soo bold, it's hard to wear. go for the brown.

Personally, I'm not a fan of biker chic or black leather jackets, but that's just because I'm a hippie. That said, I think that the brown jacket is much more versatile because it could be used in a hippie outfit or a biker outfit...or a hippie biker outfit...

Black is for full-on edgy people, but the brown tones it down for more feminine dressers.
Notice how people don't usually follow the outrageous runway trends but look for models' own styles for inspiration? =)
The 2nd brown jacket was looking good, but the first one seems somewhat tacky.

I used to be exactly the same..it was black all the way, baby! But I would much rather buy a brown leather jacket than a black one. The black ones look a bit too harsh, while the brown ones have a bit of an edge, but are still cute and classy.
Ooh, I like the brown. If only I had enough money for one of those gorgeous-but-functional jackets...
I love the leather jackets, but I'm very petite and highly doubt I could ever pull off the look. I fully support brown though! You won't blend in with the masses.
